Liz McReady New Director of Children's Ministries
The search committee is delighted to announce that Liz McReady will be our next full time Director of Children’s Ministries. After organizing and running the highly successful Vacation Bible School in June, Liz realized that she not only possessed the many skills needed to be the Director of Children’s Ministries, but she felt truly passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with our children and their families. Liz will begin working full time in late August while we seek a replacement for Liz’s position as head of Assimilation and Shepherding. Please join us in welcoming Liz to her new position.

We strive to create an environment where children can build community among one another as they mature both developmentally and in Christ. In order to facilitate these goals, children are placed in the appropriate Sunday School class based on their age as of September 1 of the commencing academic year.

Acolyte Ministry
To ensure our children grow into their Christian responsibility, we must give them opportunities to participate in the life of Christ as early as we can. This ministry is an ideal way for boys and girls to live into their baptismal covenant by serving at God’s altar.

Children age 8 and older are invited to carry the light of Christ and the Cross during processions and to assist with Communion beginning with the 9am service. Training is offered throughout the year. For more information, call Bill Freund @ (301) 229-0799.

Infant, Toddler & PreSchool Nurseries
Our nurseries are staffed by professional childcare workers. Short lessons are offered to toddlers & preschoolers. Please be sure to fill out a nursery form so that we have your info on file.

Children & Youth Choir
All children ages 8 and older are invited to join our Children and Youth Choir which sings at our 9:00am Family Service, September through May. This program offers children the opportunity to participate in worship, a superb musical experience, Christian formation, fellowship & fun, and the joy of creating beautiful music.

Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm & Sundays, 8:30am
Contact: Peter Crisafulli, Minister of Music, (301) 654-2488

Preparation for First Holy Communion
All baptized Christians are invited to the Lord’s Table during Communion. As children grow in their faith, it’s appropriate to give them instruction on the sacred meaning of Communion.

Baptism Instruction
Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s Body, the Church. The sacrament of Baptism is administered regularly at All Saints. Parents, godparents and the congregation promise to know Christ and bring up the child in the Church.

Mothers Group
Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30am
The Mothers Group meets each Wednesday for Bible study and discussion in the Youth Room at the church. Childcare provided just down the hall. All women are welcome. For more info, call Sarah Smith Boone at (202) 445-9918.

Meals for Moms
Whether you like to cook or buy take-out — you can bless families with new babies by providing a meal for them. Email Emily Large if you’d like to be on our volunteer list.
