Choral Evensong for All Saints

Join us for a peaceful evening of prayer and music at Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Saints. The All Saints Choir will lift their voices and sing works including beautiful settings of The Song of Mary and The Song of Simeon. The Feast of All Saints is a day when the church honors all those, known and unknown, who have lived lives of holiness and faithfulness to God.

Choral Evensong is a longstanding tradition in the Anglican church, a serene evening service of music, scripture and quiet listening. It is essentially a service of reflection – of leaving oneself open to God who speaks through the psalms, readings, and canticles of Sacred Scripture that form the core of the service. It is from this center of God’s initiative in speaking to us that our deepest desires, petitions, thanksgiving, and praise arise in return.

We welcome you to share with us in this form of worship, which has been offered in the Anglican tradition for well over 400 years. Here, beauty in language and music speak to us of God in a rich and diverse way. Within the hallowed space of the church, you may forget the ceaseless activity of daily life and be still.
