Children’s Ministry
“And Jesus took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.” -Mark 10:16
Our mission is to form followers of Jesus who
- are assured of God’s unconditional and unrelenting love for them,
- know Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of the whole world,
- delight in God’s Word,
- feel a strong sense of belonging at church, and
- enjoy God’s presence in prayer and service.
- For more information about our children’s ministry, please contact Susan Awad, Director of Christian Formation ([email protected]) or Rachel Walker, Children’s Ministry Coordinator ([email protected]).
Sunday School 9:15 – 10:20 am
PK3-K
Using the Godly Play curriculum, children experience and explore God’s love through story, wonder, and play. This child-centered approach to spiritual formation introduces children to key Old Testament stories, the life and parables of Jesus, the circle of the church year, and more!

1st-3rd Grade & 4th-5th Grade
Using the Shine: Living in God’s Light curriculum, children will explore God’s Word through a three-year cycle of stories that cover the entire narrative arc of Scripture. Shine incorporates imaginative, interactive storytelling and child-friendly spiritual practices to help children make meaning of the Bible and nurture their trust in God. 1st-3rd grades will use The Peace Table storybook Bible as their primary text in class, while 4th-5th grades will learn to navigate full-text Bibles.

Children’s Choir
Join our Minister of Music, Peter Crisafulli, on Wednesday evenings for children’s choir rehearsals – a fun and welcoming opportunity for children in kindergarten through 5th grade to learn vocal techniques, improve their music literacy, and sing hymns and choral arrangements rooted in the rich musical tradition of the Episcopal church.
Rehearsals will be held in the choir room from 6:30-7:00pm starting on Wednesday, September 16 and continuing through the program year. Children are encouraged to attend weekly but are welcome to join as their schedule allows. The Children’s Choir will lead worship during select services throughout the year.
Children’s Chapel
During the 10:30am service, children ages 4-10 years old may join Ms. Susan and Ms. Rachel for music, a Bible lesson, and prayer. Children are dismissed from the service after the Gospel reading and return in time for Communion.
