Our goal is to support our partners (with prayers and financial support) and provide opportunities for everyone in the parish who wants to follow Christ’s call to love and serve their neighbor, primarily by meeting the educational and food security needs of our community – most often through volunteering with and through the All Saints Blessing Bag ministry.

LITTLE LIGHTS

Little Lights provides long-term, year-round support and services for under-resourced communities in Washington, DC. Since 1995, Little Lights has built trusted relationships to provide a wide array of effective programs for children, youth, and adults that includes academic and youth development, family and economic empowerment, and anti-racism training.

BREADCOIN

Breadcoin‘s mission is to create economies of dignity where everyone has a seat at the table through neighbor-funded tokens that open doors for individuals to access nutritious meals and local businesses to thrive. Breadcoin works like a local currency that can be used to buy meals at participating restaurants, cafés, food trucks, and markets. It gives people the freedom to choose the food they want while supporting local businesses at the same time.

NOURISHING BETHESDA

Nourishing Bethesda was founded by a small group of parishioners from St. John’s Norwood Episcopal Church to meet urgent, short-term needs during the pandemic, Nourishing Bethesda (NB) has grown to become one of the largest providers of food to the needy in Montgomery County. In 2024, NB reached an excess of 1,700 households by distributing more than 26,000 food packages that totaled over 570,000 pounds of food at a total of 10 sites.

ALL SAINTS BLESSING BAG MINISTRY

All Saints shares about five a day “blessing bags” a day with visitors seeking sustenance. These guests are often unhoused and food insecure. Each bag contains tuna, Vienna sausages, crackers, nuts, chips, a fruit cup, cookies, and a granola bar. All Saints also collects and shares bags of travel-size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap), since feeling clean is important to maintaining dignity.
