New Rector

Church entrance with landscaping and a welcoming door

The Lord has called a new Rector to All Saints Church! The Rev. Dr. James L. Pahl, Jr. has assumed the leadership of our parish, and we are excited to see how God’s Spirit will lead, transform, and grow us under Fr. Jamie’s wisdom and direction.

Father Jamie officially joined us on Sunday, September 24, preaching at both 8:30 and 10:30, with a welcome reception immediately following the combined 10:30 a.m. service. He led a Joint Adult Forum on October 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the Great Hall.

Father Jamie grew up in Raleigh, NC. He is a lifelong Episcopalian, and much of his early faith formation occurred at St. Michael’s Church in Raleigh. Fr. Jamie attended Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS) where he earned a Master in Divinity degree in 2005. He previously served as Assistant Rector at St. James Parish in Wilmington, NC; as Rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, NC; and most recently as Vicar (senior assisting clergy) at his home parish of St. Michael’s since 2019. He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from VTS in 2018.

Father Jamie and his wife, Susie, have four children: twin 23-year-old boys, Henry and Jonah; Caroline (20); and Eliza (15). Father Jamie and his family are very excited to join the All Saints family and we are blessed and excited to welcome them!
