Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross, also known as the Way of the Cross, are a series of 14 depictions of key moments in Jesus’s journey to his crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. They are used for prayer and reflection during Lent. We have 14 “stations” with beautiful images set up in the Nave for parishioners and guests to walk through at their own pace when the church is open. A booklet is provided to assist in the devotions. We also have the following opportunities to follow the Stations as part of a guided group:

6:00 p.m. – Guided Stations of the Cross

5:30 p.m. – “Family” Stations of the Cross
Appropriate for families with children; followed by simple supper and Maundy Thursday service.

1:15 p.m. – Ecumenical Stations of the Cross (Around Chevy Chase Circle)
-Preceded by the Good Friday Service at Noon. Begins at All Saints Church and ends at Blessed Sacrament. Light reception follows.

Please see home page for full Holy Week service schedule.
