Pray

Dear All Saints Family,

I am grateful to be part of this family and am looking forward to getting to know each of you in time.

I am writing to you today regarding significant world events that require response and prayer. I am heartbroken and deeply grieved at what is unfolding in the Middle East. Let us not forget, too, all who are affected by the Afghanistan earthquake, with over two thousand killed. We at All Saints need to pray specifically for the repose of those who have lost their lives, comfort and hope for those who mourn, and that all hearts be turned toward peace. At this time, all we can do is pray, and we know that everything healing and good is possible in the presence of the Lord.

Pray with me!

O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us
through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole
human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which
infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us;
unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and
confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in
your good time, all nations and races may serve you in
harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.

Peace to you,

Jamie Pahl+
